The Melbourne Cabaret Festival features a professional development program alongside it. This is free for participants thanks to financial support from the Ron and Margaret Dobell Foundation. One activity under this program is a panel discussion about crowdfunding.

Facilitated by the Melbourne Cabaret Festival’s David Read and featuring Rick Chen, co-founder of Pozible, cabaret performer Tom Dickins and producer Bryce Ives, this information session is a must for anyone considering a crowdfunding campaign and particularly relevant to independent artists and producers.

The third annual Melbourne Cabaret Festival will burst out across Melbourne from Thursday 12 until Saturday 21 July. As one of Victoria’s fastest growing festivals it has now expanded to ten nights across nine venues throughout the city.  The festival hub venues are Chapel Off Chapel and the Kew Court House.
